I love Easter :D

Happy Easter everyone!! I just love Easter, I really do. I mean, whats not to love? The colors, the traditions, the candy! I can't choose just one!! So I'm not going too :D

First on the list....dying eggs! Yesterday I got to dye eggs with my little cousins...they are so cute! Although the younger of the 2 dyed her hands more than the eggs, we had a ton of fun together. And the eggs are so colorful! I just want to have a big family lunch with a bowl of pretty eggs on the table :)
I think these last few that are painted like KISS are absolutely hilarious :D Seriously....my dad should love them. But as much as I love pretty painted eggs, we all know there's nothing like easter candy!

SO COLORFUL!!! Oh goodness, I love it all! I'm totally inspired to fill my apartment up with candy and eggs and everything colorful, I just wish I had money! Oh well, when I'm no longer a poor college student, I'm going to fill my home with every color you can imagine!

However, there is one part of Easter that is more special and important than any other....the story of Christ's death and resurrection. This morning, I went to Palm Canyon Community Church where my best friend Carrie (shout-out!) and her family pretty much run the place! They put on such an amazing service...the worship time was encouraging, the message was inspiring, and the community was beyond all expectations. The easter service closed with this video which really sums up the amazing story of what God did for us and a look at how we are 'thanking' Him two-thousand years later.

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter spent with family, friends, and all your loved ones! Praise God for the gift of his son and our promise of eternal life with Him in heaven! He is Risen!

Birdcages

"How helpless we are, like netted birds, when we are caught by desire!" -Belva Plain

Oh, how true this is! Today, my desire just happens to be birdcages. I love the old antique birdcages that can be used as a centerpiece, hung from a stand as a planter, or even- crazy as it seems -be the home for your feathered friend! Whatever you use it for, I love it. They make such pretty pictures, too :D

Its official....I'm completely obsessed. But how cute are they??? Whether they're used for convenience, decoration, or simply for the sake of art, everyone should have one in they're home, apartment, or even your dorm room! They add just a little touch of much needed class and couture to your otherwise ho-hum living space. So why are you still sitting here reading? Go to your favorite thrift store or antique shop and get one!!

A Jar Full of Buttons

Hello Blogging world! I have always wanted to blog, but I'm absolutely terrible at keeping up with it. So I'm gonna give it another try now....wish me luck!

So I want to share with you lovely readers some of my favorite things in the whole wide world, starting with a Jar full of Buttons :D When I was younger, my grandma had this huge collection of old antique buttons that she had collected throughout the years. I used to still love going to her house and looking through that jar to make a ring or earrings or something fun.

How cute are these little homemade pieces? I want them all :D I found them all at Etsy (one of my new obsessions) and I can't wait to try and make them myself! Another thing that I love about buttons is how perfect and artsy they look just sitting in a jar as decoration in a room or even as a table centerpiece.

I just love buttons :) And how much do you love the massive amount of rainbow buttons in a pitcher? what a great idea for a summer centerpiece. Oh! But I can't take the credit for these awesome photos, the geniuses behind them are from Flickr, Photobucket and Button Candy.

Got anymore awesome button ideas? let me know!
